Health & Safety Advisor – Construction / Civils Contractor
£32,000 - £36,000 + Car + Benefits
Established almost 10 years ago, my client has established themselves as a leading Contractor in the field of Construction and Civils. With almost 140 employees, and a turnover of £20m, they are entering an exciting growth period, and require a Health & Safety Advisor to join the team.
Reporting into the HSEQ Manager, you will be working at sites across the North of England (Sheffield up), carrying out site inspections and risk assessments, conducting safety audits and other H&S Advisor duties as required. You will be working with staff and contractors at all levels, ensuring that all stakeholders are aware of their responsibilities with regards to H&S. You will be responsible for running Health & Safety meetings, and training courses for staff too. The company are looking to move from being a Tier 2 to Tier 1 contractor, and a motivated, ambitious addition to the HSEQ team is seen as essential in this aim. This is a home based position, with support from the Northamptonshire Head Office, so you will need to able to manage your time, and be extremely well organised.
To be considered for the role of Health & Safety Advisor , you will need to have the following skills and experience:
• Ideally 2-5 years of post-qualification experience in Health & Safety
• Experience gained in a Construction / Civil Engineering / Highways background preferred
• Multi-site experience, with a willingness to travel and manage your own time
• Recognised Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH General or equivalent)
• Full UK driving license
A basic salary of between £32-36k is on offer for the HSE Manager role, alongside a company car. The company are currently working on a benefits package enhancement to be rolled out in the near future.
