Location: West Midlands
Salary: Up to £65,000
Contract: Permanent| Full Time | 37.5 Hour week

A well established and forward thinking manufacturing business is seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Controller to lead its Finance department. This is a pivotal role offering the opportunity to shape financial strategy, drive operational excellence, and collaborate across all areas of the company.
Role Overview
As Financial Controller, you will take full ownership of the local finance function, working closely with the Group CFO and HQ finance team. You’ll lead financial planning, reporting, compliance, and strategic analysis, ensuring the business remains agile, informed, and financially sound.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead preparation of the annual business plan and coordinate inputs across department
- Oversee monthly and year-end financial reporting to tight deadlines
- Analyse P&L deviations and propose corrective actions
- Manage payroll in collaboration with external providers
- Monitor investment plans and profitability
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and financial regulations
- Support external audits and intercompany reconciliations
- Conduct internal audits and support manufacturing decisions
- Maintain insurance coverage across assets, personnel, and operations
- Provide cash flow forecasts and financial insights to senior leadership
- Drive process improvements and reporting enhancements
- Develop and mentor the finance team
Qualifications & Skills
- ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Degree in Finance or related discipline (preferred)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience in financial management within a manufacturing business
- SAP experience highly desirable
