Category Manager – Facilities Services
A leading national services organisation is seeking an experienced Category Manager to take ownership of facilities-related procurement categories, including janitorial, landscaping and pest control. This role offers visibility at senior levels and the opportunity to shape strategy, optimise suppliers and deliver measurable cost savings.
Responsibilities include:
• Developing and implementing category strategies for facilities and corporate services
• Leading sourcing activity, negotiations and supplier performance management
• Rationalising suppliers and improving procurement processes
• Partnering with Operations, Facilities and Finance teams
• Delivering insights, business cases and presentations to senior leadership
• Supporting analytics, reporting and procurement technology improvement
We are looking for:
• Strong experience in category management and indirect procurement
• Proven delivery of savings across large spend categories
• Strong Excel capability and confidence working with data
• The ability to influence at senior levels and communicate clearly
• Experience working in fast-paced, change-driven environments
Preferred experience:
• Background in facilities services categories
• Familiarity with procurement systems or analytics tools
• Experience coaching colleagues or evolving team processes
• Understanding of rebate models and financial levers
First six months:
• Build and socialise category strategies
• Streamline and optimise the supplier landscape
• Launch early savings and value initiatives
• Establish supplier metrics and performance reviews
• Support improvements in procurement analytics and reporting
Salary: Circa $110,000
Bonus: 10%
