Job Description

An established precision aerospace manufacturer are seeking to recruit an experienced Quality Inspector following a reorganisation and planned expansion into brand new larger premises.  
Role: Quality Inspector
Location:South Birmingham
Salary: c£35,000 (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-Time Days Monday to Friday
Technical Network are recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector on behalf of a growing aerospace manufacturing business. Backed by a major engineering group, you will be joining a business who are investing heavily in their brand new manufacturing facilities and have a strong & secure order book specialising in CNC machining and precision manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
o Carry out incoming, in-process, and final product inspections to ensure quality standards are met
o Investigate quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformances using root cause analysis techniques such as 8D, NCRs, and CAPAs
o Support the company's AS/EN9100 quality management system and assist with internal and external audits
o Monitor quality performance data, produce reports, and identify opportunities for process improvements
o Work closely with production, engineering, and suppliers to resolve quality concerns and prevent repeat issues
o Manage calibration and maintenance of inspection and measuring equipment
Experience
Applications are sought from experienced Quality Inspectors or Quality Technicians who are keen to join an expanding business and assist with establishing an competent quality control function. 
o Previous experience in a quality inspection or quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment
o Strong knowledge of precision close tolerance metrology 
o Good understanding of AS/EN9100 quality management systems
o Use high-tech measurement tools (Vernier calipers, micrometers, CMMs, FARO) to ensure quality is spot-on.
o Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
o Confident using problem-solving and root cause analysis tools
Desirable
o CQI, IRCA, ASQ, or similar quality-related qualifications
o Experience using Faro Arms or CMM equipment
o Previous supplier quality or auditing experience
