With a rich heritage and strong presence across the UK and Ireland, our client is a trusted name in supplying high-performance machinery to sectors including recycling, construction, scrap metal, demolition, quarrying, energy, and ports.
We’re now seeking an Area Sales Manager to join their growing commercial team, focusing on the North West region, specifically between Leeds and Manchester.

The Role As an Area Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving both new business growth and account development across the North West. You’ll be responsible for:
  • Selling and hiring the full range of mechanical handling and processing machinery
  • Providing tailored technical solutions to meet customer needs
  • Managing the full sales cycle – from cold outreach to closing deals and aftercare
  • Preparing accurate and timely quotations
  • Offering on-site technical support and advice
  • Keeping up-to-date with competitor activity to maintain a strong market position
The Ideal Candidate
  • Proven success in capital equipment sales (shredders, crushers, screeners, chippers etc.)
  • Industry experience in waste, recycling, construction, or related sectors
  • Familiarity with OEMs or main dealer operations
  • Confident cold caller with strong new business development skills
  • Technically minded, with the ability to assess customer needs and provide customized solutions
  • Able to juggle multiple projects and demands – strong organizational skills are a must
  • Autonomous self-starter with the ability to manage their own schedule effectively
  • Deep regional knowledge and network within the designated territory
