Are you an experienced Hygiene Manager with a passion for excellence in food manufacturing? Our client seeks a dynamic leader to take the lead on our hygiene operations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and compliance in their facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of 100 hygiene staff to ensure company hygiene standards are adhered to, as well as Food Safety Legislation and Customer Audits.
- Driving and implementing significant change and improvement in cleaning efficiency and effectiveness, which is at a high standard.
- Devise and implement hygiene procedures and continue their improvement so as to meet BRC and retailer audit standards.
- Liaise with the Production, Quality and Technical Departments so that continued Hygiene within the environment are assured.
- Ensure that the Hygiene Team works in a safe manner, adhering to COSHH Regulations and Health & Safety protocols.
- Oversee cleaning schedules and manage chemical usage to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness while maintaining safety and hygiene standards.
- To stay ahead of industry trends and developments, drive innovation within the hygiene function.
- A minimum 3 years’ experience as Hygiene Manager in a food manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of managing large teams, driving high-performance standards.
- In-depth knowledge of HACCP, COSHH and other food safety management systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
- IOSH or NEBOSH desirable but not essential
- To be proactive in hygiene and identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
